Darrius Woods

Darrius Woods joined the McAlmont church of Christ in Little Rock, AR as Senior Minister on April 2026. He brings with him a heart for preaching the gospel, a passion for congregational growth, and a deep commitment to serving communities through the message of Jesus Christ.

Darrius most recently served at the Cloverland church of Christ in Houston, Texas, where he ministered in several leadership roles. In 2015 he began serving as the Assistant Minister, and in 2020 he was appointed Senior Minister. During his tenure, he worked closely with the congregation to strengthen spiritual growth, outreach efforts, and congregational unity. His ministry has focused on encouraging faith, equipping members for service, and helping churches develop a clear vision for the future.

Prior to his work at Cloverland, Darrius served as the Community Outreach Minister for the Fidelity church of Christ in Houston, Texas. In that role, he helped expand community engagement and evangelistic outreach.

He also served as a College Intern Minister at the Westbury church of Christ in Houston, where he developed his early preaching and ministry leadership skills.

Darrius is committed to both spiritual leadership and continued education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Sunset International Bible Institute, along with an Associate’s Degree in Religion and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Biblical Studies in Congregational Ministry with a Graduate Certificate in Leadership, and he plans to continue his academic journey toward a Doctor of Theology (ThD) through Sunset International Bible Institute.

In addition to his congregational ministry, Darrius has participated in mission work both internationally and domestically. He has traveled to Brazil for mission outreach efforts, and he has also been involved in ministry work throughout New Mexico and Texas, sharing the gospel and strengthening churches.

Darrius and his wife, Brandi, have been married since 2011 and are grateful for the opportunity to serve in ministry together. They are blessed with two children, Quarion and Sarai, who are a constant source of joy and encouragement in their lives.

Outside of ministry, Darrius enjoys running, reading, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. However, his greatest fulfillment comes from helping people discover the transforming hope of Jesus Christ and guiding individuals and families toward a deeper relationship with God.
